Towards Better Communities (and newsletters)
Dear friends,
First of all, thank you so much for your interest and excitement around building better communities.
We’re very happy you’ve signed up to find out more about what we’re trying to achieve and hope you’ll continue to follow, support, and possibly join us on our journey.
We invite you into the conversation.
We’ll be shortlisting the next projects and curating content for and with you, beginning with a monthly newsletter —always with the aim to champion better communities online.
We understand everyone's time pressures are different, so we welcome support big and small.
Share your views, knowledge, concerns, and experiences.
Help us create better communities at scale.
It was an absolute pleasure to kick off “Toward Better Communities” and take the time to crystallize a shared vision. A vision, we hope, gives inspiration, as well as some clear and practical guidelines on what it takes to build better communities. Whether you recognize yourself in it or are motivated to learn more and apply these in your setting, we know that better communities are possible. We’ve seen proof over the years.
The internet is still quite young — furiously fast and at times a hostile place — but our natural state orients toward cooperation and we can, thankfully, create islands of calm and caring. As organizations, we want that for our constituents and customers. As humans, we want that for other humans.
To start, let’s get to know each other. We’d love to hear your stories.
What are your examples of a truly better community or your vision for one in your dreams?
We want to share your stories, along with our own, to help illustrate what’s possible and work together to create genuine positive change at a human and organizational level.
Feel free to reply to this email and join your voice with ours, and inspire people to invest the time and resources to create better online experiences that have a positive impact on people's lives and livelihoods.
We’re just getting started and are so glad you’re here!
Forward together,
